Show Off Your Piping Skills at the Halloween-Themed Cake Competition on October 23rd
October 8, 2022Fans of baking competitions, take note. The Halloween-Themed Cake Competition celebrates the artistry of a Food Network competitor while simultaneously inviting you to participate. Dawn Aston of Ravy Cakes may look familiar to foodies since she’s appeared on the network’s Wedding Cake Competition. She’ll lead a fun Nailed It-style baking competition with a haunting twist on Sunday, October 23rd.
Reserve a spot for you and another baker and join her as she creates a spooky confection at Fran’s Cakes and Supplies. Chef Dawn gets to work at 2:30 p.m., letting novice chefs watch as she shapes her Halloween-themed cake. Then it’s your turn! But don’t worry if your imitation is a little bit silly. This is just for fun. Fran’s will supply everything you need to emulate the cake as best you can, starting with a pre-baked cake as a foundation. After practicing your piping skills, put them into action and see if your Halloween-themed cake takes home the blue ribbon. If it does, you’ll also bring home the first-place prize.
