Now Open Near West Broad: The Johnsons Cafe!
March 5, 2021It always feels good to support someone’s dream, right? Well, this is especially true when nibbling on a delicious breakfast from The Johnsons Cafe. Started by The Johnson Family in December, it was always David Johnson’s dream to have his own cafe. He worked in a family restaurant in India, moved to the U.S. and worked in a variety of kitchens in NYC, and has brought the culmination of those experiences to us in Falls Church!
They’re open daily (except Tuesday) from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. serving up breakfast and lunch delights. In terms of breakfast, their quick favorites are the whole grain pancakes with homemade berry compote and cinnamon maple butter and the perfectly crafted breakfast sandwiches on their signature rolls. They also have a killer breakfast burrito featuring chorizo and queso fresco. For lunch, spice it up a little with the lunch bowl! You choose from rice or quinoa, and the bowl is then topped with lentil stew, lettuce, sweet potatoes, raita, and your choice of chickpea masala, chicken verde, Indian butter chicken, or roasted chicken leg. It’s a nourishing bowl that fuels you while feeding your soul!
