Seasonal Cheer Awaits at the Winter Walk of Lights
December 4, 2020‘Tis the season for holiday lights! The Winter Walk of Lights is illuminating holiday spirits for the 9th year at the Meadowlark Botanical Garden in Vienna. Buy timed tickets online ahead of time since walk-up tickets will only be available in limited quantities. Begin this self-guided excursion by walking down the glowing one-way asphalt path illuminated by magical decor. You’ll walk through the gardens at night, passing holiday scenes on either side. Warm up in the snowflake gift shoppe or garden gift shop and pick out a souvenir.
Pop into the snack shop for a hot chocolate, coffee, or hot cider and sweet treats. Take your warm drink to-go as you head back outside to finish your journey. If you visit on December 5-6, or any night between December 12-31, there will even be food trucks from Park Street Eats ready to serve your favorite fair food like funnel cakes, hotdogs, and fries.
Give back to your community at the Winter Walk of Lights by participating in one of their appreciation or fundraising events too. Bring a first responder, teacher, or military member with you and they will receive free admission with one paying guest on their dedicated appreciation nights, between December 29-January 1.
