When Emma Cech discovered she was gluten-intolerant, the timing really couldn’t have been worse. She was right in the middle of the Professional Pastry Arts program at L’Academie de Cuisine. Rather than abandon her dream of eventually opening her own French patisserie, however, she decided to tweak her dream just a bit. And so she founded The Happy Tart, a French bakery that also happens to be gluten-free.
Chef Emma and her team are adept at creating gluten-free versions of your favorite treats thanks to her tireless experimentation, so you won’t even miss the gluten in her crepes and cakes. Stop by for brunch or lunch to savor a signature creation like the lemon-sugar crepe, the coconut-crusted French toast, or the quiche Lorraine.
