Start Thanksgiving on a Healthy Foot at the Arlington Turkey Trot
November 12, 2019The Arlington Turkey Trot isn’t just a way to burn calories before digging into your Thanksgiving feast. It’s about giving other members of your community a helping hand on a day that’s all about gratitude. The Arlington Turkey Trot collaborates with local organizations including the Arlington Food Assistance Center, Bridges to Independence, and Young Life South Arlington to provide services for local people in need.
So when you participate in the Arlington Turkey Trot this November 28th, know that you’re not just doing something good for yourself—you’re doing something good for the entire community. The race kicks off promptly at 8 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning at the Christ Church of Arlington and loops around the city, heading back to the starting location after a 5K jaunt. Registration costs $45 for adults and includes a commemorative Turkey Trot t-shirt, which you’re encouraged to wear (perhaps with some layers) on the day of the race!
