Share Mediterranean Small Plates at Maya Bistro
May 3, 2019Maya Bistro opened its doors to the public a couple of weeks ago with a menu of Mediterranean and Turkish tapas, sandwiches, and entrees. The sandwiches are only served at lunch, and they come highly recommended, so make a point to stop in midday. Regulars especially love the popular Adana sandwich, stuffed with grilled ground beef and lamb and red peppers, plus a serving of crisp French fries on the side.
If you stop in for dinner, share some hot and cold mezze options. Try the popular htipiti, a dish of roasted red peppers tossed with feta, thyme, and olive oil, or the savory and warm zucchini “cake” infused with mint, dill, and mozzarella cheese. For the main course, dig into the marinated lamb chops with fresh garlic and oregano or the beyti, a Turkish flatbread filled with ground beef and lamb, then drizzled with a tomato-yogurt sauce.
