Unlimited Belgian Waffles? Dogwood Tavern Has Them
February 27, 2019No matter what day of the week it is, an argument can be made for a visit to Dogwood Tavern. This rustic restaurant and bar offers a menu of American fare along with a great beer and cocktail list, but the weeknight specials and weekend brunch are the big selling points here.
It’s hard to say no to 50-cent wings, which is what you’ll find if you visit Dogwood on a Monday night. Options include barbecue, honey pepper and honey Sriracha. Raw Bar Tuesday is the following night, when you can snag chilled shrimp, mussels, clams, oysters and crab legs for under $10. Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with favorites like the fried green tomato BLT and the breakfast burrito. On Sunday, you’ll get to feast on unlimited Belgian waffles and omelets, all made to order while you wait for $15. Swing by the bloody Mary bar to mix up your own concoction, or sit back and be served a mimosa or a Death in the Afternoon, made with absinthe and sparkling wine.
