Pick Up Fresh Produce and Work Out at the Fit at the Farmers Market
December 12, 2018If you’re looking for something to get you out of the house on Saturday mornings that doesn’t involve waiting in line for a brunch table, Fit at the Farmers Market just might hit the spot. Managed by the Falls Church Recreation and Parks Department, this weekly public event helps build community and healthy habits at the same time.
Professional fitness instructors lead a wide variety of different classes in the lot adjacent to City Hall every Saturday morning, all year long (recent classes include jazzercise, power yoga, hip-hop dance, and vinyasa yoga). Most classes begin at 9 a.m., but it’s best to check the event website to confirm the time, type of exercise, and any equipment you may need to bring along. You can also get last-minute updates on weather-related cancellations at the Farmers Market social media pages. Don’t be deceived by the construction happening at City Hall—classes will continue through the project’s completion.
