Southern Comfort Food and Craft Cocktails Collide at Liberty Barbecue
January 18, 2018You might be surprised to see a full list of craft beer, fine wines, and artisan cocktails at a barbecue eatery, but this is the norm at Liberty Barbecue. The casual eatery opened in Falls Church about a month ago, offering up inventive libations to complement the artfully crafted barbecue. So whether you’re looking for a family-friendly restaurant or a happy hour spot, you’ll find it at Liberty Barbecue.
Come and grab a frozen whiskey sour and a plate of fiery jalapeno-cheese hush puppies, then peruse the list of smoked meats. There are two ways you can enjoy the barbecue at Liberty: solo (by the half-pound) or as part of a platter. The pitmasters behind the scenes craft tender, lean beef brisket, pork belly and pork spare ribs, turkey breast, and pulled chicken. They also deep-fry pickle-brined chicken. Everything comes with contemporary and classic Southern sides, like crispy Brussels sprouts, chopped coleslaw, and slow-braised collar greens.
